I have 20+ years of experience in print and digital media in music and entertainment. I bring authenticity to the narrative and a deep understanding of what captivates an audience through meaningful engagement and community.

Thank You, Headliners

The first Nocturnal Wonderland was held in DTLA in 1995, making it not only the oldest Insomniac festival but also the longest-running electronic music festival in America. Nocturnal focuses on the key elements of family, community and culture. The following branding video was filmed on location at Nocturnal. It was put together as a thank you to the fans who have attended the festival over the years. This was done in celebration of its 21st anniversary. Role: Script, Casting, Producer

Golf Cart Confessions

Launched in 2015, Golf Cart Confessions is an ongoing YouTube video series for Insomniac Events. Filmed on location at Insomniac festivals around the world, each episodes features DJs being interviewed as they’re driven from their artist trailers to the stage to perform. Role: Producer

Immersive Fan Experience

Novalia’s technology adds touch, connectivity and data to surfaces around us. They operate in the space between the physical and digital using beautiful, tactile printed touch sensors to connect people, places and objects. I worked with founder/CEO Dr. Kate Stone to put together an immersive experience for Insomniac fans at the 20-year anniversary of Nocturnal Wonderland. Role: Curation, Project Management

The Insomniac

The Insomniac was an annual print magazine given out to Headliners (aka Insomniac fans) for free during Electric Daisy Carnival (commonly known as EDC) in Las Vegas. Content covered all things Insomniac and EDC Las Vegas. Designed by Switch Creative Group. The following feature written for The Insomniac magazine highlights all the oddball sights and stops along the way to Las Vegas for Electric Daisy Carnival. See more issues here. Role: Editor & Writer

AfterMag

The Insomniac AfterMag was an element of our post festival coverage that I created. Established to enhance the festivals “after movie” and to give fans a deeper dive into the high production values and experiences found at each festival. Role: Content Ideation, Creation & Management

Insomniac Illustrated

Insomniac Illustrated was created as a way to say thanks to fans for being a part of the Insomniac life—and to capture the festival escapades in comic book form. Photo illustrations by Jon Wesley were created by images captured on location at the festival. Role: Content Ideation, Creation & Management

BPM Magazine

In print from 1996 to 2009. BPM (Beats Per Minute) was an independent magazine publishing original content on dance music and its surrounding culture. Merging with Moonshine Music in June of 2000, BPM then grew into a digital media company, publishing Vapors magazine (acquired in 2002. In print from 2000 until 2006. Vapors was the pre-blog ”bible” for sneaker culture, underground hip-hop, and street art) and C16 Autofiends (an underground magazine and early blog covering import car “tuner” culture and alternative motorsports including drifting and rally). For 13 years I managed and directed operations at BPM. See more covers here. Role: Editor-in-chief, Associate Publisher & Director of Production
